Well it’s been a few weeks since the Nursery reveal and I’m just now getting around to writing out this blog post. The holidays, amirite?
Anyway, if you compared our design plan with our final look, you will notice some differences. This is a completely normal part of the design process. Sometimes an item we choose for the design will become unavailable for a number of reasons, maybe it’s been discontinued, sold out, or will take much longer to ship than the client had wanted. In this case we look for alternatives or we may change around the design plan a little bit.
With this particular design, we made a few adjustments:
– picture frames changed from simple black to rustic wood
– the metal shelves were unavailable so we ended up removing them from the design plan
– we replaced the teddy bear wearing a jersey, with a gifted teddy bear & bib
And that was it! The final product came out exactly as expected.
Beautiful spaces don’t just happen. They are intentional, well thought out with the just right amount of spontaneity to allow for real life. If you’re having a hard time putting a plan together for your space, let’s chat! 🙂
